Warehouse Management in Chemicals
Different events are getting created in Supply Chain Management environment for each of the equipment coming from plant. These events could be: receiving of the equipment, moving it to another location, releasing it from the warehouse. The events are created in hierarchical order. They are executed sequentially which stops the rest of execution of event sequence if a particular failure happens. Equipments and stations are considered as master data in SCM. Stations are formed by four areas which are: site, yards, tracks and spots. Spots are dependent on tracks, tracks are dependent on yards and yards exist in a particular site. Equipment moves between these stations by a rail system in SCM.
Issues:
There is no environment to record and consolidate all the events
happening during the day in an efficient way. Manual corrections
are done for dependent events which there are no log mechanism.
There is no integration between Supply Chain Management and
Sales and Distribution System.
