Plant Maintenance in Manufacturing

RMA’s are created and sent to the receive, repair and ship departments. Only people with a particular service role are allowed to work on the notifications. Goods issue and delivery is done as the next step. Shipping information has to be entered again.

Issues: The RMA transaction screen has many tabs and the user has to enter a lot of information. There is a lot of redundancy. Changing the status of the RMA usually takes 4-5 clicks. The action box control was not restricted and all the users can perform all the actions listed on it.

GuiXT Solution Suite to used to simplify create, receive, repair and ship processes. A launchpad is designed which has 3 buttons to give access to receive, repair and ship processes. The main screen for notification entry is simplified, the general data tab(first tab) has all the information required and also the status information, goods issue and delivery are done automatically. The action box items are restricted; access to few items is only given to the users, when they are in the right process.
