3.1 System Requirements


Before you install the Liquid UI SDK, you must first ensure that the target system can support Liquid UI Designer and Liquid UI Server. For production requirements, Synactive recommends you to install Liquid UI Server on either Windows 2003 Server, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2016, or Windows Server 2019.

For all systems, Synactive recommends the following system requirements to install the Liquid UI SDK:

  • RAM: 1GB (3GB or above recommended)

Windows Server 2019
  • CPU: 1.4GHz, 64-bit processor or faster for single core
    1.3GHz, 64-bit processor or faster for multi-core

  • RAM: 512MB (8GB recommended)

  • HDD: 32GB

  • SAP GUI: 3.0 or above

Windows Server 2016
  • CPU: 1.4GHz, 64-bit processor or faster for single core 
    1.3GHz, 64-bit processor or faster for multi-core

  • RAM: 512MB (8GB recommended)

  • HDD: 32GB

  • Browser: Internet Explorer 7 or above; Firefox 3.0 or above

  • SAP GUI: 3.0 or above

Windows Server 2012 R2
  • CPU: 1.4GHz 64-bit processor or faster for single core
    1.3GHz 64-bit processor or faster for multi-core

  • RAM: 512MB (8GB recommended)

  • HDD: 32GB

  • Browser: Internet Explorer 7 or above; Firefox 3.0 or above

  • SAP GUI: 3.0 or above

Windows Server 2008 R2
  • CPU: 1.4GHz (x64) single-core or 1.3GHz dual-core processor

  • RAM: 512MB (8GB recommended)

  • HDD: 32GB

  • Browser: Internet Explorer 7 or above; Firefox 3.0 or above

  • SAP GUI: 3.0 or above

Windows Server 2003
  • CPU: Intel Pentium/AMD K6 133MHz or above (550MHz recommended)

  • RAM:128MB or above (256MB recommended)

  • HDD:3GB free space or above

  • Browser: Internet Explorer 7 or above; Firefox 3.0 or above

  • SAP GUI: 3.0 or above

The above requirements are for a typical implementation. However, it is also possible to use Liquid UI Server in conjunction with a Telnet server and the character-based SAPConsole UI to communicate with non-Windows based RF handheld devices.
