How does GuiXT WS/64 Offline work?
GuiXT WS/64 Offline sits on three important architectural concepts:
- Database: How will data be managed in Offline mode? GuiXT WS/64 Offline uses an integrated database. Metadata gets constructed automatically during run time depending on the database definitions created for each process. Each device has its own database which does not require any central server or external intervention.
- Synchronization: Data flow is handled in packets which the number of the packets can be configured. Each process corresponds to a data table in GuiXT Offline which the information from these data tables is sent in packets to SAP. Information is saved in SAP in matter of seconds due to multi threading capabilities of GuiXT WS/64 engine.
- Data Management: Data that reside in the GuiXT WS/64 Offline database is dependent on the user ID due to the fact that multiple users can share the same device throughout the day for business operations. Different users are not able to see each other’s data.
