How does GuiXT WS/64 Offline interact with SAP ERP?
GuiXT WS/64 Offline interacts with SAP ERP through GuiXT WS/64 Server which is a highly scalable environment providing fast execution of data packets sent from Offline. GuiXT WS/64 Server is a central deployment mechanism for GuiXT as well which acts as a gateway to SAP ERP to pass the data coming from the Offline client in GuiXT WS/64 Offline solution.
It uses a specific identification mechanism to realize the information coming from Offline client. This mechanism is called METADATA formation. Without the metadata defined in server, offline – SAP ERP data integrity is not possible.
GuiXT WS/64 Offline Suite needs GuiXT WS Screens to be created in GuiXT Server – [SAPGUI] to process data coming from Offline. The process of this data is initiated either by a remote function call or by directly accessing SAP Dynpro screens in related transactions in SAP. The logic for processing data are created using GuiXT WS Scripts.
GuiXT WS/64 Offline makes efficient use of communication bandwidth by pushing most of the processing to the server side which the process efficiency is backed up by a GuiXT WS/64 engine that runs for 64 bit platforms.
