Purpose: To Create a New Registry Key and Value.

For 32 Bit Version of this topic

Pre-Requisites:
User should have Administrative rights for the machine on which the task is to be performed.

Steps to create a Registry Key (Administration)
Step 1: Click Start and type "regedit" in the search bar and hit "enter"
Step 2: Navigate to the below specified on the left half side of the window.
            HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SAP\SAPGUI Front\SAP Frontend Server
Step 3: Right Click on SAP Frontend Server, select New and then select Key
Step 4: A New Key #1 will show up, re-name it to Administration.
Step 5: Right Click on Administration Key and select New, and then select String Value.
Step 6: A New Value #1 will show up, re-name it to DisappearItems.

Purpose: To Hide Activate GuiXT Menu Item in Registry.

For 32 Bit Version of this topic

1.   User should have Administrative rights for the machine on which the task is to be performed.
2.   Close all of the SAPgui instances including the SAPlogon Pad.
3.   Create a New Registry Key Documentation - 64bit.

Steps to Hide Activate GuiXT:
Step 1: Click Start and type "regedit" in the search bar, and hit "enter"
Step 2: Navigate to the below specified on the left half side of the window.
         HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SAP\SAPGUI Front\SAP Frontend Server\\Administration
Step 3: Double Click on the DisappearItems field on the right half of the window.
Step 4: A pop up as shown below opens up
Step 5: Write the "Value data" to be "Activate GuiXT", and click OK.
Step 6: And verify the menu item by logging in to SAPgui (The menu item disappears).

Purpose: To Install Liquid UI Workbench and to generate templates.

Steps to install LiquidUI Workbench:

Step 01: Download the SetUp file from the above specified link.
Step 02: Right Click on the SetUp file, and select "Run as Administrator".
Step 03: Follow through install wizard, and install the LiquidUI software.
Step 04: In the software installed folder,
            C:\Program Files\Synactive Inc\Workbench             --> 32Bit
            C:\Program Files(x86)\Synactive Inc\Workbench     --> 64Bit
Step 05: Double click "DLG.reg" file, which will set the registry license.
Step 06: Installation and set up configuration is complete.

Note: Elogon and FunctionSystems script files in the script folder.

Steps to Record process from SAPgui:

Step 01: Open SAPgui and login to one of the SAP Server.
Step 02: Click on the "Tri-Color" icon, and "Activate GuiXT".
Step 03: Now execute "WSWorkBench.exe" from the installed folder.
Step 04: Click on "Record" from the interface.
Step 05: On SAPgui, go through the process and complete.
Step 06: Click on "Stop Recording" and save the "Recording".
Step 07: Once the Recording is saved, now Click on the desired Template.
Step 08: The template, as well as the script file is generated.
Step 09: Re-name the Script file, with screenfile name, to execute.

Developer Toolkit (Designer and Workbench) / RFC Library Files

Purpose: To place appropriate RFC library files for proper RFC execution through Liquid UI.

librfc32.dll is the required file for proper RFC implementation in SAPGui
Note: SAPgui 750  discontinued use of LibRFC.
librfc32.dll - For Windows 64 Bit O.S, use the below link to download the 64Bit version of LibRFC.
librfc32.dll - For Windows 32 Bit O.S, use the below link to download the 32bit version of LibRFC.

Place the files in
   - "C:\Windows\SysWow64", for 32 Bit version of Liquid UI software on a 64Bit Machine.
   - "C"\Windows\System32", for 64 Bit version of Liquid UI software on a 64Bit Machine.
   - "C"\Windows\System32", for 32 Bit version of Liquid UI software on a 32Bit Machine.

After placing the files, follow steps to register the DLL file using command prompt.
Below link explains registering PNTCTL.DLL.
For LibRFC registration, replace the below commands with librfc32.dll instead of pntctl.dll

Purpose: To Mirror Android device screen on Windows PC.

Download and Install ApowerMirror software on Windows PC.
Note: ApowerMirror  software can downloaded from www.ApowerMirror.com.

Download and Install ApowerMirror App on Android device.
Note: ApowerMirror App can be downloaded from Google Play, search for ApowerMirror.

Step 01: After the download and install of the ApowerMirror software on both Windows PC and Android App.
Step 02: Execute ApowerMirror software on Windows PC.
            Note: For ApowerMirror, Start --> Apowersoft -->ApowerMirror.
Step 03: Stay on the Wi-Fi tab of the Windows PC application and follow the steps.
Step 04: Execute ApowerMirror App on Android device.
Step 05: Tap on the blue icon in the bottom center of the screen.
Step 06: This provides the list of ApowerMirror application broadcasting devices
Step 07: Select the appropriate device from the list to mirror the Android screen.

Mobile Products (Android, iOS and CE) / iOS device Screen Mirroring

Purpose: To mirror iOS device screen on Windows PC.

Two recommended ways,
1. Lonely Screen
Download and Install LonelyScreen software on Windows PC.
             Note: LonelyScreen software can downloaded from www.lonelyscreen.com.

2. ApowerMirror
Download and Install Apowermirror software on Windows PC.
             Note: Apowermirror  software can downloaded from www.ApowerMirror.com.

Any of the above two mentioned software can be used for screen mirroring,
Step 01: After installation of either of the software goto,
             For LonleyScreen: Start --> LonelyScreen --> LonelyScreen.
             For Apower Mirror: Start --> Apowersoft --> ApowerMirror.

Step 02: On iOS device goto Control Center.
             Note: Swipe up from the bottom of the iOS screen to view Control Center.
Step 03: Tap on Screen/AirPlay Mirroring option.
Step 04: Screen Mirroring pop up with a list of Device(s) broadcasting (like Apple TV, PChostname).
Step 05: Tap on the appropriate device from the list
(Typically PC), to Mirror iOS device screen on selected PC.

Purpose: To mirror Windows handheld device's screen on Windows PC.

1. Download and Install Windows Mobile Device Center or Microsoft ActiveSync on Windows PC
Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) can be obtained from,

2. Download and Install Windows MyMobiler (Mirroring software) on Windows PC
MyMobiler can be downloaded from, MyMobiler.com

After the installation of both the software on the Windows PC, connect Windows Handheld via USB to Windows PC.
The WDMC software would recognize Handheld connection and brings up the WDMC Interactive Screen.
So also MyMobiler software recognizes the Handheld connection and brings the MyMobiler interface, in the hidden icons tray(right bottom corner tray).
Click on the Up Arrow (show hidden icons), and right click on "MyMobiler" Blue highlighted icon.
Then from the pop up, click on "Open Mobiler", which opens up MyMobiler window mirroring Windows Handheld device.

Mobile Products (Android, iOS and CE) / Scanner Configuration on iOS

Purpose: Device Camera as a scanner and Configuration

Steps to Configure Camera Scanner on Liquid UI iOS App

Step 01: Tap on the Menu (Right Top corner horizontal lines) on the Server connections screen.
Step 02: Tap on App Settings, and Tap on Configure Scanner.
Step 03: A Pop up with "Scanner Information" title comes up, tap OK, on the pop-up.
Step 04: The screen lands on "Barcode Types", with " Default" settings.
Step 05: Tap on "+" (right top corner) icon to add a barcode type.
Step 06: On "Add Barcode Type", in the Type field or use "Scan with Camera" button to scan the barcode using the device camera.
Step 07: Once the Barcode Type is added, make sure to enable the entry by tapping switch "Enabled" and tap "Save".
Step 08: This action Saves and Enables the Barcode Type, and the page goes back to "barcode Types".
Step 09: If more barcode types need to be added, please follow Steps 05 - Step 07.
Step 10: After the Barcode Type is added, enabled and saved in Step 07, and Step 08, tap on the newly added barcode type.
Step 11: On the Scanner Prefixes screen, Tap on "Default", to default the action that should occur after every scan of that particular barcode type.
               - Auto Enter       --> Performs Auto Enter after the scan
               - Auto Tab      --> Performs Auto Tab after the scan
               - Off               --> No action is called
Step 12: Tap on "+"  to perform a default action of Prefix and Suffixes after Step 10.
Step 13: Add the Prefix, and choose, if it needs to be removed from the result after every scan of that code type

Purpose: To identify the HOSTNAME of PC using Liquid UI Script.

Symptoms
When you use Liquid UI WorkBench, you receive the following error message:
ActiveX component can't create object

This article describes some common causes for this error message and provides resolution to the issue.
Cause: This behavior can occur if any of the following conditions are true:

Data Access Objects (DAO) is not properly registered.
-or-
One or more references are missing.
-or-
There is a utility database reference that is not valid.
-or-
You do not have the required permissions for required libraries.
-or-
There is a damaged wizard file.

Resolution:
Need to make changes to a key in Registry.

Step 02: Extract dlg.zip, which extracts dlg.reg file.
Step 03: Double Click on dlg.reg to perform a "Merge".
         or right-click, and click on "Merge".

The value in dlg.reg file will be set in the Windows Registry

Purpose:
      Liquid UI iOS App comes with an efficient feature to add SAP Server connection, with the help of device camera, Scanning a QR Code generated by "Connection Transmitter" executable, which is provided in the below link.

Steps:
Step 01: Run the file "Connection Transmitter.exe" on your windows machine, where the SAPgui connections are present.
Step 02: A window will be generated with a list of connections fetched from your SAPGui Connection list. Click on the desired connection.
Step 03: A QR Code will pop-up on your Windows machine.
Step 04: Then, open Liquid UI for iOS and navigate to the option "Scan to Add Connection" under settings.
Step 05: The camera will start allowing you to scan the QR Code generated by "Connection Transmitter".
Step 06: Once scanned the connection will be automatically added to the connection list with the success message.

WS aka Web Scripts (Attended RPA for SAP) / Liquid UI system variables

Purpose:
To identify Liquid UI, SAPGui Version, and SAPgui PatchLevel Number.

The system variables "_version", "_sapgui_version" and "_sapgui_patch" can be used to find the version details of Liquid UI, SAPGui, and Patchlevel. Further to condition Liquid UI scripts.
