2.10 Redirecting Users based on Referrer URL in LAMP

LAMP is now upgraded and provides the ability to navigate to the referrer page, eliminating the need for repetitive dashboard navigation upon login or session expiration. This seamless redirection enhances the user experience and ensures uninterrupted access to desired pages.

Note: By default, when users log in to the LAMP, they are redirected to the admin dashboard.

This article will focus on the following features:

  • Session expiration redirect: When the current session expires, redirect the user to the same page instead of the LAMP dashboard.
  • Redirect to referrer URLs after login: Users will be redirected to the originally requested URL or any referrer URLs after they log in.

Case 1: Session expiration redirect

When your session expires due to inactivity, after logging in, you will be directed to the exact page where the session expired. This eliminates the hassle of manually navigating through the dashboard to reach your desired page again.

  1. Log in to LAMP and navigate to any page within the portal. Clicking on the Orders option navigates to your Orders page, as shown below.

  2. After a period of inactivity on the portal, your session will expire, prompting you to log in again.

  3. After logging in, you will be automatically redirected to the My Orders page that you were previously on.

Case 2: Redirect to referrer URLs after login

When you click on a referrer URL, you will be taken to the login page. Upon successful login, you will be automatically redirected to the specific portal page that was specified by the referrer URL. This ensures a seamless transition from the referring page to the intended destination within the portal upon authentication.

For example:

  1. Click on the update payment link in the Liquid UI License Recurring Payment email, and then you will be directed to the login page, as shown below.

  2. Once logged in, LAMP immediately redirects you to the referred URL, which is the Subscription Details page, as shown below.
